Addition #1

Brian and Linda Rohmer, Rancho Cordova, CA

Situation:

Brian and Linda Rohmer loved their neighborhood but were frustrated with their outdated kitchen and the lack of space for entertaining in their family room. Instead of moving, they decided to save on property taxes and remodel instead by adding square footage to the front of their home.

"From the planning process to the drywall and electrical to the stucco, Lytle went above and beyond to do a great job for us."

Challenge:

Matching the French gable roofline on this 1962-built home to ensure that the addition was architecturally well-integrated and the curb appeal maintained; removal of grown trees and concrete structures; replacing the deeply buried water line.

"They were always on time, kept us updated on the process, never left a mess and kept our home as livable as possible. In fact, we would have hardly known the crew was even there, if not for the progress we saw every day when we came home from work."

Process:

Brian's cousin at a design firm created a kitchen design for Brian and Linda, and referred the kitchen remodeling work and family room addition to Lytle Construction. Linda and Brian knew exactly what they wanted, so we reviewed the scope of work and then used a computer-generated visual of the project so that the Rohmers could visualize the impact of the project on both the inside and outside of their home.

"We especially appreciated seeing the same workers on the job every day, since Walt subs virtually nothing out. They're a real one-stop shop. Best of all, the addition was actually completed in just 10 weeks--two weeks earlier than projected!"

Outcome:

Lytle Construction's team:

"Thanks to Walt and his team at Lytle Construction, our home addition of a great room and dining room with full kitchen remodel went down without a hitch. We're very happy with the outcome, and have already recommended them to our friends, family and neighbors."
